The DISCO SMS project is pleased to share the new online course designed to support educators in exploring the use of gamification and the recognition of soft skills in educational contexts.
In higher education and training, increasing attention is being given to student motivation and to making visible those competences that are not easily captured through traditional assessment methods. These include a range of soft skills such as collaboration, problem-solving, and communication. While their importance is widely acknowledged, their recognition remains a challenge in many learning environments.
This short online course provides a practical overview of these topics. It introduces key concepts related to gamification and explores approaches to recognising soft skills in a structured and meaningful way.
The course also presents the use of digital open badges, which can support the documentation and communication of acquired competences in a transparent and transferable format.
